Each mode demands a different strategic approach. Campaign rewards steady territorial expansion. Tournament demands peak combat efficiency. Endless Deads demands pure defensive endurance.
Victories unlock cosmetic and functional upgrades: epic weapons that enhance unit damage, skins that change unit appearance, crowns that signify achievements, and armor that improves durability. These unlockables provide both visual variety and tangible combat advantages across all modes.
Gold income compounds over time. Starting with 3–4 miners before your first soldier ensures you have enough gold to sustain continuous unit production throughout the match. Players who train a soldier first often stall mid-match because they can't afford replacements after their initial troops die. A strong economy in the first 30 seconds funds a dominant army for the remaining minutes.
Archidons die instantly in melee combat. Swordwrath and Speartoons absorb hits. The correct formation is always melee in front, ranged behind. Send your Swordwrath or Speartoons forward first, then position Archidons behind them. This shield-and-shoot formation maximizes your army's damage output while keeping fragile archers alive. Reversing the order lets enemy melee units reach your archers immediately, wiping your damage dealers.
Giants cost enormous amounts of gold and take time to train. Using a giant defensively wastes its potential — it stands at your base absorbing hits instead of destroying the enemy statue. Save giants for coordinated offensive pushes: send your full army forward with the giant at the center, supported by archers and mages. A giant reaching the enemy statue delivers devastating damage that regular units cannot match.
In early Campaign missions, your melee units take all the damage. Upgraded Swordwrath hit harder and survive longer, meaning fewer replacements and more sustained gold. Upgraded Speartoons hold the defensive line against enemy pushes, buying time for your archers and mages to deal damage. Upgrading ranged units first is wasteful if your frontline collapses before they can fire.
Endless Deads mode sends wave after wave without end. Aggressive early rushes waste units and gold. Instead, build a maximum mining economy first, then gradually scale up your army with each wave. Defensive formations with Speartoons holding the line and Archidons firing from behind sustain longer than any attack-heavy composition. Survival is a marathon, not a sprint.
Magikill area-of-effect spells deal damage to all units in a zone. Wasting a spell on a single enemy unit is inefficient. Wait until enemies cluster together — which happens naturally during their pushes toward your statue — then unleash Magikill spells into the group. A single well-timed AoE spell can eliminate half an enemy wave, turning a losing defense into a decisive victory.
Each rival nation in Inamorta favors specific unit types. The Archidons field mostly archers. The Swordwrath rush with melee. Before sending your army, observe what the enemy is training. If they're building archers, rush with Swordwrath to close the distance. If they're building melee, set up Speartoons with Archidons behind. Reacting to the enemy composition rather than repeating the same build every match is what wins on Hard and Insane difficulty.
