2. Always build when taking fire. Your first reaction to getting shot should be pressing Q and placing a wall. Even a single wall buys you a second to identify the enemy's position. Players who shoot back without building first lose most fights because they take unnecessary damage while exposed.
3. Use ramps for height advantage in every fight. The player with the higher position wins most engagements because they can peek down to shoot while exposing less of their body. When you encounter an enemy, build a ramp immediately to get above them before firing.
4. Balance your inventory across weapon ranges. Carry at least one close-range weapon (shotgun) and one mid-to-long-range weapon (assault rifle or sniper). Fights happen at unpredictable distances, and being stuck with only a shotgun during a long-range encounter — or only a sniper in a close-quarters building — is a death sentence.
5. Move toward the safe zone early, not late. Players who wait until the storm is already closing get caught in chaotic scrambles where they take storm damage while also getting ambushed. Move early, set up in a defensive position inside the next circle, and let panicked late-movers come to you.
6. Destroy enemy structures at the base. If an opponent builds a tall tower, do not try to climb up to fight them. Shoot or explosives at the bottom supports instead — the entire structure collapses, dealing fall damage and leaving them exposed. This is faster, safer, and uses less ammo than a climbing assault.
7. Use third-person camera to peek corners. The third-person perspective lets you rotate the camera to see around walls and corners without exposing your character. Use this before every engagement to spot enemies first. The player who sees the other first almost always wins the fight.
