About Dungeons and Bags

Dungeons and Bags is an inventory puzzle RPG developed by Roshka Studios (Roshka S.A.). Released in March 2026 and built with HTML5 (Unity WebGL), the game has quickly earned a 9.0/10 rating from over 1,800 votes on CrazyGames. The concept taps into the growing "backpack battles" genre: instead of controlling your hero in combat, you win by packing your bag with the right weapons and items before each fight. Drag items into a grid-based inventory, rotate and fit them like a spatial puzzle, then watch your hero unleash your loadout against waves of dungeon monsters. Merge duplicate weapons to upgrade them, unlock new heroes, and push deeper into increasingly dangerous dungeons. With simple drag-and-drop controls, charming 2D fantasy visuals, and an addictive "just one more run" loop, this browser game is accessible on desktop, mobile, and tablet.

Packing Your Bag

Your bag is a grid-based inventory with limited space. Before each battle, you are presented with available weapons and items — swords, axes, bows, potions, shields, and more. Each item occupies a specific shape on the grid (similar to Tetris pieces). Your job is to fit as many powerful items as possible into the available space.

  • Weapons increase your attack power. Different weapon types deal different damage amounts.
  • Potions provide healing, buffs, or special effects during combat.
  • Positioning matters — every item you successfully fit into the bag contributes to your hero's power. Empty space is wasted potential.

The core challenge is spatial: large, powerful weapons take up more grid tiles, while smaller items fill gaps efficiently. Finding the optimal arrangement that maximizes total attack power within your limited bag space is the central puzzle.

Combat

Once you confirm your bag, your hero automatically enters combat against waves of enemies. You do not control the fighting — your packed loadout determines the outcome. If your total attack power and items are strong enough, you clear the wave and advance. If not, you need to revisit your packing strategy and upgrade your gear.

The game requires you to make split-second decisions on the right weapon for each wave of enemies, as different encounters may favor different loadouts.

Merging Weapons

Duplicate weapons can be merged to create stronger versions. When you collect two of the same weapon, combine them to produce an upgraded version with higher stats. Merging is the primary way to increase your gear's power beyond what raw packing alone provides. Always merge when possible before attempting harder dungeon levels.

Unlocking Heroes

As you progress and earn rewards, you can unlock new heroes — each potentially with unique abilities or bag configurations. New heroes add variety to your dungeon runs and provide alternative approaches to the packing puzzle.

Dungeon Progression

Dungeons get progressively harder as you push deeper. Enemy waves grow tougher, bosses hit harder, and the margin for packing error shrinks. Each run rewards resources and items that feed back into your upgrade loop. The game continuously adds levels — a recent update improved weapons and added more dungeon stages.

Dungeons and Bags Tips and Strategies

  1. Fill every single grid tile. Empty space in your bag is wasted attack power. Even a small, low-damage weapon placed in a gap contributes more than leaving the space empty. After placing your major weapons, scan for remaining gaps and fill them with the smallest available items.
  2. Place large weapons first, then fill gaps with small items. Start with your biggest, highest-damage weapons because they are the hardest to fit. Once the large pieces are positioned, it is much easier to slot smaller items into the remaining irregular spaces. Reversing this order — placing small items first — often blocks space needed for your best gear.
  3. Merge duplicate weapons before packing. A single merged weapon deals more damage than two unmerged copies and takes up the same or less grid space. Always check for merge opportunities before entering a dungeon. Keeping unmerged duplicates in your bag wastes tiles on weaker versions when one upgraded piece would free space for additional items.
  4. Rotate items to find tighter fits. Most items can be rotated to fit different grid orientations. A sword that does not fit vertically might slot perfectly when rotated horizontally. Spend an extra moment rotating pieces before giving up on a placement — this alone can free up two or three additional tiles per run.
  5. Prioritize attack power over quantity in harder dungeons. In early levels, filling every tile with any weapon works fine. In deeper dungeons, one high-power merged weapon often outperforms three low-level items occupying the same space. Shift your strategy from "fill everything" to "pack the strongest possible loadout" as difficulty increases.
  6. Do not skip potions entirely. Potions take up bag space that could hold weapons, but they provide healing and buffs that keep your hero alive through tough waves. In harder dungeons, a hero who survives with potions deals more total damage than one who dies early with a slightly stronger weapon loadout. Balance offense and survivability.
  7. Replay earlier dungeons to farm merge materials. If a new dungeon level feels too hard, run previous levels to collect duplicate weapons for merging. A few minutes of farming produces upgraded gear that makes the difficult level significantly easier. Progression walls in this game are almost always solved by better gear, not better packing.
