Jetpack Joyride drops you into a side-scrolling laboratory that generates obstacles endlessly as you fly further. Barry runs forward automatically — your only job is controlling his altitude with a single input. Tap or hold to fire the jetpack and rise; release to fall.

That one-button simplicity hides real depth: obstacle patterns grow denser, the scrolling speed increases, and split-second altitude decisions become the difference between a 500-meter run and a 5,000-meter one. The core loop revolves around distance, coins, and missions.

Coins collected during runs fund upgrades and cosmetics in The Stash, while completing mission sets levels up your rank. Spin Tokens scattered throughout each run feed into the Final Spin slot machine at the end, awarding bonus coins, head starts, or free revives.

Vehicles like the Bad As Hog, Gravity Suit, and Mr. Cuddles appear via Vehicle Tokens, each offering a unique control scheme and acting as an extra-hit shield that absorbs one obstacle contact before breaking.

Jetpack Joyride uses a single input across all platforms: Fly as far as possible through the laboratory without getting hit by obstacles. Contact with any zapper, missile, or laser beam results in instant knockout (unless you are inside a vehicle).

Your distance at knockout determines your final score. Vehicle Tokens spawn in the top half of the screen. Collecting one grants a random vehicle from the default roster: Bad As Hog, Crazy Freaking Teleporter, Gravity Suit, Lil Stomper, Mr. Cuddles, or Profit Bird.

Each vehicle has its own control scheme and absorbs one hit before being destroyed. When a vehicle is obtained or destroyed, a shockwave disables nearby zappers and disarms missiles, giving you a brief safe window.
