Hole Arena drops you into a city-based arena as a small black hole competing against other players in real time.

The core loop is simple but deeply strategic: absorb street props, benches, cars, and smaller structures to grow your hole's diameter, then use your size advantage to swallow rival players and climb the leaderboard.

Each round lasts roughly two minutes, which keeps the pacing tight and the stakes high from the first second. What sets Hole Arena apart from classic .io games like Hole.io is its battle royale-style shrinking play zone.

As time passes, a danger boundary closes in around the arena, forcing all remaining players into increasingly tight spaces. This creates natural late-game showdowns where positioning, boost management, and timing matter far more than raw size.

Power-ups scattered across the map — including speed boosts, magnet pulls, and instant size-ups — add another layer of tactical depth to every match. Hole Arena uses minimal controls that work across all platforms.

On desktop, move your mouse to steer the black hole in any direction. Hold Left Click or press Spacebar to activate a speed boost for chasing targets or escaping danger. On mobile and tablet, use touch controls by dragging your finger across the screen to navigate.

Your goal each round is to become the largest black hole on the map by the time the match ends. You score by absorbing objects and eliminating other players. The player with the greatest size at the end of the round — or the last hole standing — wins.

You start each match as a small circle on the asphalt, only able to swallow minor objects like benches, trash cans, and street props.

Each object absorbed increases your diameter, which unlocks the ability to consume progressively larger structures and, eventually, other players' holes. A key rule: you can only absorb a rival hole that is smaller than yours.

If you collide with a larger hole, you get eliminated instantly. Three main power-ups spawn across the arena during each match: Watch out for size-down traps that shrink your hole if collected accidentally.
