Among Us drops 4 to 15 players into a space-themed setting where everyone looks alike but not everyone shares the same goal. Crewmates need to finish a set of mini-tasks scattered around the map while one or more impostors try to pick them off without being identified.
/12When someone finds a body or hits the emergency button, the crew stops everything to debate and vote on who to eject — and that is where the real game begins. What makes Among Us endure years after its initial release is that no two rounds ever play out the same way.
/12The game runs on human psychology: reading movement patterns, constructing alibis, catching lies during meetings, and deciding when to trust or accuse. Innersloth continues to expand the game with new roles, maps, and modes, keeping the core formula fresh for returning players.
/12As an HTML5 browser game on PLRun, it loads quickly alongside other multiplayer .io games with nothing to install. In the browser version, you move your character by clicking where you want to go or using WASD keys on desktop.
/12Interact with tasks and objects by clicking the Use button when standing near them. On mobile, tap the screen to move and use on-screen buttons for actions.
/12The Report button appears automatically when you are near a dead body, and the Emergency Meeting button is located at the central table on each map. Controls may vary slightly between platforms — check in-game prompts if anything differs.
/12At the start of each round, you are secretly assigned a role. As a Crewmate, your job is to complete all assigned tasks on the map or identify and vote out every Impostor before it is too late.
/12As an Impostor, your goal is to eliminate crewmates until impostors equal or outnumber the surviving crew — or trigger a critical sabotage that nobody manages to fix in time.
/12The core tension comes from the fact that impostors look identical to crewmates and the only way to communicate is during timed discussion meetings. A typical round begins with all players spawning together at a central location.
/12Crewmates scatter to complete tasks — short interactive mini-games like fixing wires, swiping a card, or downloading data. Meanwhile, impostors pretend to do tasks while looking for isolated targets to kill.
