Adopt Me places you in a colorful city where the core gameplay loop revolves around three pillars: pet raising, trading, and roleplay.

You hatch eggs, nurture pets through six growth stages from Newborn to Full Grown, and complete daily care tasks like feeding, sleeping, and attending school to level them up.

Once you have four identical Full Grown pets, you can fuse them into a glowing Neon pet — and four Neons combine into the ultra-rare Mega Neon. The trading economy is where the game's depth really shines.

Every pet has a fluctuating market value driven by rarity, demand, and seasonal updates. Experienced players treat trading like a metagame, tracking values and timing deals around new egg releases when demand spikes.

Beyond pets, you can customize your house with furniture, decorations, and themed layouts, turning your home into a personal hub for roleplay scenarios. Uplift Games, the studio behind Adopt Me, originally launched it on Roblox in 2017 under the name DreamCraft.

The game set a Roblox record of 1.92 million concurrent players in April 2021 and remains one of the platform's most-played experiences. This browser-based HTML5 version brings that same pet-raising and trading experience directly to your desktop or mobile browser.

Use WASD to move your character around the map. Press Spacebar to jump. Hold right-click and drag the mouse to rotate the camera. On mobile, use the on-screen joystick to move and swipe to adjust your view. Click or tap on objects, NPCs, and other players to interact.

When you first enter the game, choose between two roles: Parent or Baby. Parents adopt and care for babies or pets, while babies get taken care of by other players. Most experienced players focus on the parent role to manage pets and build their inventory.

Pets progress through six stages: Newborn → Junior → Pre-Teen → Teen → Post-Teen → Full Grown. To advance a pet, complete care tasks — feed it, put it to sleep, take it to school, and keep it happy. Each task fills a portion of the growth bar.

Reaching Full Grown is essential because it unlocks the ability to create Neon pets. Head to the Neon Cave located underneath the main bridge on Adoption Island.
