Offense: Shooting and Dunking

When you have the ball, use movement keys to dribble past your opponent and create an opening. To shoot,hold Spacebar and release— the timing of your release determines shot accuracy. A well-timed release sinks the basket; a poorly timed one clangs off the rim. If you drive close to the hoop, pressing Spacebar triggers aslam dunkinstead of a jump shot, which is harder for the opponent to block.

Long-range shots carry more risk (timing must be precise) but score from distance. Driving to the hoop for a dunk is more reliable but requires getting past your defender. Your shooting and dunking stats, which you upgrade between matches, directly affect the success window for each action.

Defense: Stealing and Blocking

When your opponent has the ball, your job is to force a turnover or block their shot:

• Steal— Get close to the dribbling opponent and tap Spacebar. If your timing is right, you snatch the ball and gain possession. Mistiming a steal lets the opponent blow past you.
• Block— When the opponent goes for a shot, tap Spacebar at the right moment to jump and reject it. Blocks require reading the opponent’s shooting motion and reacting before the ball leaves their hands.

Defensive play requires patience and timing. Spamming Spacebar near the opponent rarely works — you need to wait for the right moment.

2. Drive to the hoop for dunks instead of shooting from distance early on.Before your shooting stat is upgraded, long-range jump shots have a narrow timing window. Dunks near the rim are more forgiving and harder for the AI to block. Save long-range shooting for later when your shooting stat is high enough to make it consistent.
3. Time steals when the opponent commits to a dribble direction.Tapping Spacebar randomly near the ball handler rarely works. Wait until they commit to moving left or right, then intercept from the side. A steal after a directional commit is far more reliable than lunging at a stationary dribbler.
4. Block shots by reading the shooting animation, not guessing.Watch for the opponent to begin their shooting motion — a slight upward arm movement — before pressing Spacebar to jump. Jumping too early leaves you landing while the shot sails over you. Jumping too late means the ball is already released. React to the motion, do not predict it.
5. Collect coins scattered on the court during play.Coins appear on the court floor during matches. Running over them collects them automatically, adding to your post-match earnings. Do not ignore them — they add up over many matches and accelerate your upgrade progression.
