2. Prioritize Filling Complete Layers Over Stacking High

Every unfilled layer is wasted vertical space. Focus on completing horizontal layers rather than simply finding any open spot for each block. A block placed in a half-empty layer just to “get rid of it” raises the tower without earning points or clearing space. Discipline yourself to rotate and find the placement that contributes to completing the most layers.

3. Plan Two to Three Blocks Ahead for Combo Clears

Combo scoring rewards consecutive layer clears with significant bonus points. To achieve combos, you need layers that are nearly complete when the clearing block arrives. Before dropping, glance at how close each layer is to completion. Place blocks to bring multiple layers to near-full status, then clear them in rapid succession for maximum combo points.

4. Keep the Tower Low and Even — Avoid Spikes

An even tower surface gives you the most flexibility for placing irregularly shaped blocks. If one side spikes higher than the rest, you lose options: irregular blocks can’t fit in the narrow gaps, and the spike pushes you closer to the upper limit.
