Hole.io drops you into a miniature 3D city as a tiny black hole. Everything in the environment is a potential meal — street lamps, park benches, pedestrians, cars, trees, and eventually skyscrapers. The game uses real-time physics: objects topple and slide into your hole based on their size relative to yours. If something is too large, it blocks your opening and slows you down, so growth order matters.

Basic Controls

Hole.io uses a single directional input:

Main Objective

Grow your black hole by consuming city objects and outsize every other player. Your score equals the total number of objects consumed. In Classic Mode, the biggest hole when the timer hits zero wins. In Battle Royale, eliminate all other holes to be the last one standing.

Size Tiers and Object Hierarchy

Your hole starts at size 1, only able to swallow small items like trash cans, fire hydrants, and street poles. As you eat and grow, you unlock the ability to consume progressively larger objects:

• Size 1 (0–9 points)— Trash cans, mailboxes, poles, pedestrians, construction cones
• Size 2 (10+ points)— Cars, trees, park benches, small structures
• Size 3 (larger)— Buildings, groups of trees, other small holes
• Maximum size— Skyscrapers, large structures, and rival players of any size

Oversized objects that do not fit will sit on top of your hole and block further consumption until you grow enough or move away.

Game Modes

• Classic Mode— Timed match (roughly 2 minutes). The hole with the highest score when time expires wins. Other players respawn after being consumed.
• Battle Royale— Elimination mode. Consume rival holes to knock them out permanently. Last hole standing wins.
• Solo Mode— Play against AI-controlled holes. Ideal for practicing pathing and learning object sizes without competitive pressure.
• Endless Mode— No timer, no opponents. Objects fall from the sky continuously. Play as long as you want for a relaxing, score-chasing experience.

Power-Ups and Progression

Power-ups spawn randomly on the map during matches. Confirmed power-ups include Speed (faster movement), Magnet (pulls nearby objects toward you), Shrink (reduces rival holes), and Get Bigger (instant size boost). 1. Head to object clusters immediately.Parks and construction zones contain dense groups of small items. Consuming a cluster of 5–6 poles or cones in one pass grows you faster than chasing scattered objects across the map.
2. Do not follow other holes at the start.When two small holes share the same area, you split the available objects and both grow slower. Pick a direction that no one else is heading and eat alone during the first 30 seconds.
3. Learn the size thresholds.Memorize when you can start eating cars (around 10 points), buildings (much larger), and other players. Attempting to swallow something too big wastes time because it blocks your hole instead of falling in.
4. Position yourself under tall objects and stay still.Vertically tall objects like lampposts and trees fall into your hole more reliably when you stop moving directly underneath them rather than trying to swipe them while passing by.
5. Target parks first, then move to streets.Parks contain the highest density of small consumable items. Clear a park, then transition to streets for cars and light poles once you have grown to size 2.
6. In Battle Royale, avoid large holes until late game.Focus on environment consumption early. Only chase other players once you are clearly bigger — chasing a hole you cannot eat wastes time and lets others grow unopposed.
7. Grab power-ups during crowded phases.Speed and Magnet power-ups are most valuable in the mid-game when many objects and players are clustered together. A well-timed Magnet in a dense area can pull in dozens of objects at once.
