PLRun respects the intellectual property rights of game
developers, publishers, and content creators. We respond
to valid copyright complaints in accordance with the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Our Commitment

  • All games on PLRun are hosted with permission from
    their developers or authorized distributors
  • We review every game before publishing to verify
    its source
  • We respond to valid DMCA takedown notices promptly
  • Repeat infringers will be permanently removed from
    the platform

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe content on PLRun infringes your copyright,
send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent with
the following information:

  1. Your contact details
  • Full legal name
  • Email address
  • Mailing address
  • Phone number (optional)
  1. Identification of the copyrighted work
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim
    has been infringed
  • A link to the original work (if available online)
  1. Identification of the infringing content
  • The specific URL(s) on PLRun where the infringing
    content is located
  • Enough detail to help us identify and locate the
    content
  1. Statements
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that
    the use of the material is not authorized by the
    copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in your notice is
    accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you
    are the copyright owner or authorized to act on
    behalf of the owner

  • Your physical or electronic signature

We aim to review and respond to all valid notices within
5 business days.

What Happens After We Receive a Notice

  1. Review— We review the notice to confirm it meets
    DMCA requirements
  2. Action— If valid, we remove or disable access to
    the reported content promptly
  3. Notification— We notify the content provider
    (game developer) that the content has been removed
  4. Counter-notice— The content provider may file a
    counter-notice if they believe the removal was a mistake

Filing a Counter-Notice

If your game or content was removed from PLRun and you
believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification,
you may file a counter-notice.

  1. Identification of removed content
  • A description of the content that was removed
  • The URL where the content appeared before removal
  1. Statements
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have
    a good faith belief the content was removed as a
    result of mistake or misidentification
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of
    the federal court in your district and that you will
    accept service of process from the person who filed
    the original DMCA notice

What Happens After a Counter-Notice

  1. Review— We review the counter-notice for
    completeness
  2. Forward— We forward the counter-notice to the
    original complainant
  3. Waiting period— The original complainant has
    10 business days to file a court action
  4. Restoration— If no court action is filed within
    10-14 business days, we may restore the removed content

Repeat Infringer Policy

PLRun maintains a repeat infringer policy. Game developers
or content providers who are the subject of multiple valid
DMCA notices may be permanently removed from the platform.

Misuse of DMCA Notices

Filing a false DMCA takedown notice is a serious matter.
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly
misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable
for damages, including costs and attorney fees.

Please ensure your claim is legitimate before submitting
a notice.
