Iron Legion Tips and Strategies

1. Prioritize control points over kill-hunting.The match is won by map domination, not a high kill count. A player sitting on a capture zone contributes more to victory than one chasing kills across the map. Stay near objectives, and let enemies come to you.
2. Practice the manual aiming by playing PvE on Easy first.The turret-follows-body mechanic feels unnatural to players used to independent turret rotation. Spend several PvE matches learning to drive-and-aim simultaneously before entering PvP. This single skill determines most engagements.
3. Use buildings and terrain as cover — but reposition frequently.Iron Legion features physically accurate destruction effects, meaning cover that protects you at the start of a fight can be destroyed mid-battle. Do not rely on a single piece of cover for an entire engagement. Shoot, move, find new cover.
4. Avoid solo rushes in PvP.Pushing a control point alone against multiple defenders almost always results in a quick death, even in a heavy tank. Wait for teammates, coordinate pushes, and attack contested zones as a group. One tank draws fire while another flanks.
5. Choose recon tanks for capturing, heavy tanks for holding.Light reconnaissance vehicles can dash to unguarded control points and capture them before the enemy reacts. Once captured, switch to (or rely on a teammate’s) heavy assault tank to hold the position against counterattacks. Match your tank class to the current tactical need.
6. Right-click iron sights for long-range engagements.At medium to long range, hip-fire accuracy drops significantly. Activating iron sights with the right mouse button tightens your aim and makes it far easier to land hits on distant targets. Use iron sights whenever you are not in point-blank range.
