Om Nom: Run is an HTML5 endless runner originally created by ZeptoLab, with the browser version developed by Famobi. Unlike runners that only offer a single high-score chase, Om Nom: Run structures its gameplay around a campaign of mission-based levels spread across multiple chapters. Each mission assigns a specific task — reach 500 meters without crashing, collect 15 purple tokens, spell out a word by grabbing letters, or perform three stunts off ramps — and awards up to three stars based on how completely you finish it.

Controls

Mission Structure

The campaign is organized into chapters, each containing multiple missions. A mission begins with a specific objective displayed at the top of the screen. Distance missions require you to run a set number of meters without crashing. Token missions ask you to collect a target number of purple tokens scattered along the route. Letter missions challenge you to grab individual letters that spell out a word — miss one and you’ll need to keep running until the next one appears. Stunt missions count how many times you successfully hit a green ramp and perform a trick. Completing the objective earns stars: partial completion may earn one or two stars, while fully meeting the goal awards all three. Stars accumulate across missions, and you need a minimum star count to unlock the next chapter.

Power-Ups

Four power-ups appear during runs, marked by bright pillars of light on the track. TheMagnetpulls coins from all three lanes toward you automatically, removing the need to lane-switch for collection. After the stunt, a brief jetpack sequence keeps you airborne to collect high-altitude coins. Stunts earn championship points that feed into a competitive leaderboard. Each unlockable character — including Om Nom, Om Nelle, Lick, Boo, Sword Kid, and Space Cowgirl — has three unique stunts that can be upgraded with coins to earn more points per trick.

The center lane gives you the most escape options since you can go left or right, while the outer lanes trap you against the wall. Minimize unnecessary movement and resist the urge to grab power-ups that require risky lane changes.

Grab Magnets Before Entering Coin-Dense Sections

The Magnet power-up pulls coins from all lanes automatically. If you see a Magnet and notice a stretch of heavy coin placement ahead, grabbing it first maximizes your haul without additional lane switching. This is especially valuable duringruns where coins are your focus, since the Magnet effectively turns three lanes of scattered coins into a single effortless stream.

Hit Every Green Ramp You See in Stunt Missions

Upgrade Your Main Character’s Stunts Before Unlocking New Ones

New characters are expensive, costing tens of thousands of coins. Upgrading your current character’s three stunts costs less and immediately increases the championship points you earn per trick. Higher stunt scores push you up the leaderboard faster, which yields bigger coin rewards at the end of each championship cycle. Invest in upgrades first, and let the leaderboard rewards fund your character purchases over time.

Use the Rocket Power-Up as a Safety Net

The Rocket launches you above all obstacles, making you temporarily invulnerable. In difficult sections of a distance or letter mission where obstacles are densely packed, grabbing the Rocket isn’t just about coins — it’s a guaranteed few seconds of safe travel. If you’re close to completing a distance objective and the road ahead looks dangerous, the Rocket can carry you over the finish line.
